[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Spring is one of the best times to brighten up and refresh the energy of your home. Along side of the usual spring cleaning and clutter clearing processes, undertaking a space clearing ceremony is a great way to clear energy from the past and set intentions for the future.
Preparation and planning are just as important as the actual ceremony so take time to consider what you specifically want to let go of. Is it physical, emotional, spiritual?
Exploring these things will help to identify what tools you use. For example if you want to let go of emotional baggage, this would relate to the water element and so incorporating things like space clearing sprays or holy water would be ideal purifiers.
Next consider when are you going to do your ceremony? Explore the different phases of the moon and which would best suit and support your intentions.
Then tune into your home and ask for intuitive guidance around any particular rooms or objects that might require extra attention.
At this point, you may find yourself undertaking some physical clutter clearing. If so, go for it! The more space you create now the more room there is for the fresh start you are seeking.
Once the purification aspects of your ceremony are determined, you will want to start focusing on the next phase which is around invoking or imbuing the space with your intended energy.
So often I hear stories of people waving sage around thinking they are ‘space clearing’ but they do not understand that cleansing the space is only half of the process. If you do not intentionally fill the space with positive energy after a cleansing, it is quite likely it will just fill back up with energy much like what was already there.
So, consider what aspects of your life you want to improve – health, career, relationships are some common examples. And then consider what feelings you would ideally associate with those aspects, for example radiant health, successful career, loving & harmonious relationships.
These will give you clues around what tools or symbols to bring in during the second stage of your ceremony, for example you might use a healthy plant or an imagine of great success or essential oils like rose and ylang ylang.
Mindful preparation and planning will greatly enhance the outcomes of any space clearing ceremony…just make sure you have fun with it too![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
