According to internationally renowned feng shui author and teacher Denise Linn ‘The words spring cleaning, bring forth images of freshly washed white curtains, of carpets being aired out in the sun, and of an overall re-creation of order and harmony in the home.’
Being the season of birth, new beginnings, growth and vitality it is easy to get enthusiastic about aligning with the possibilities this energy offers.
So here are a few tips on how you can welcome some spring, zing into your home –
Open all your doors and windows, let that fresh air in.
Do a big physical clean (with simple home made cleaners or at least switch to eco-friendly cleaning supplies as a first step).
Refresh your bedding by hanging quilts/doonas and pillows out in the sun.
Do some clutter clearing to get rid of what you don’t need. Start to live more, with less.
Springtime is also one of the best times to undertake a space clearing (energy clearing ceremony) to create a clean energetic slate in your home. This creates space to fill your home with positive intentions and energy that will support your goals and dreams for the year ahead.
